Act Now

There are many ways to engage in this work. Follow us on Facebook and IG for announcements of actions in the community. Come speak to City Council on the second and fourth Tuesdays at 5pm to influence decision makers. Write a letter to the editor. Educate yourself and others. Attend picket lines, rallies, and other events.

Email a Letter to the Editor

According to the Florida Times-Union, letters are more likely to be published if they are short! A lead letter is about 350 words, and an opinion column is about 600 words on average. Regular letters should be a maximum length of about 200 words. Cite sources for important facts and quotations so the TU can check them. Avoid personal comments. Stick to the issues. Be sure to list your name, address, and phone number for confirmation.
